Confidentiality and Safeguarding Statement

That Send Mama

At That Send Mama, we are committed to creating a safe, supportive and trusting environment for every parent, child, and family we work and communicate with. Confidentiality is a key part of how we build that trust. We respect the privacy of all individuals and handle personal information with care, sensitivity, and professionalism.

However, while confidentiality is important, it is not absolute. As a service, even voluntary, that works closely with parents, carers, and children, particularly those with SEND needs, we have a clear legal, ethical, and moral responsibility to prioritise safeguarding at all times. This means that if we become aware of information that suggests a child, young person, or adult is at risk of harm, abuse, neglect, or exploitation, we must take appropriate action.

If a safeguarding concern arises, we may need to share relevant information with safeguarding leads, local authorities, or other appropriate professionals. We will always aim to be open and transparent with the individuals involved about what information needs to be shared and why, unless doing so would increase the risk of harm.

Our commitment is simple: We will protect confidentiality whenever possible, but we will always prioritise safety and wellbeing. Safeguarding the people we support is at the heart of everything we do at That Send Mama, and we will always act in their best interests.
